What this policy covers
This policy explains how Flyers Now handles information when you use our website, mobile app, account features, and related services. You can browse flyers without creating an account.
Information we handle
Shopping location
We use the postal or ZIP code you enter to show nearby stores and relevant flyers. If you choose “Use my location” in the app, your device asks for foreground location permission and converts the device location into a postal or ZIP code. You can always enter one manually instead. The website may estimate a general location from network information to choose a useful starting point.
Account information
If you create an optional account, we handle your email address, display name, verification codes, login sessions, and basic session security information such as IP address and user agent. If you choose Google sign-in on the website, Google provides the account details needed to sign you in.
Saved shopping information
The app can store your shopping list, watched items, favourite stores, recent searches, selected shopping location, flyer position, and notification preferences on your device. When you sign in, this information can also be saved to your account so it is available on your other devices.
Service and usage information
Like most online services, our servers receive technical information such as IP address, browser or device type, request time, requested page, and referring page. We record limited flyer interactions—such as opening a flyer or adding an item—to operate features such as trending flyers and prevent duplicate counts. Anonymous interactions use a random identifier or a one-way hashed visitor key rather than a directly readable IP address.
Notifications
If you opt in, the app schedules shopping reminders locally on your device. You can turn them off in the app or device settings. We do not currently operate an advertising push-notification profile.
Why we use information
- Show flyers, stores, and deals for your shopping area.
- Save and synchronize your optional account and shopping list.
- Send requested sign-in codes and respond to support messages.
- Keep the service reliable, secure, and resistant to abuse.
- Understand aggregate feature use and improve the product.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
When information is shared
We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share information only as needed with service providers that help us host the service, store data, deliver sign-in email, provide maps or location support, and secure our systems. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer where the recipient must continue to protect it.
Flyer pages can link to retailer or map services. Information you provide after leaving Flyers Now is governed by that third party’s policy.
Storage and retention
Guest shopping data remains on your device until you clear the app’s data or uninstall it. The website’s shopping-location cookie can last up to one year. Account information and synchronized shopping data are kept while your account is active. Short-lived verification codes expire after use or within minutes. Security logs, backups, and de-identified or aggregate records may be retained for a limited period where reasonably necessary for reliability, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or recovery.
Information may be processed in Canada, the United States, or other places where our service providers operate, and may be subject to the laws of those places.
Your choices and rights

- Change location and notification permissions in device settings.
- Update your display name from the app’s account screen.
- Delete your account in the app or use our web deletion option.

We may need to verify that a request relates to you. Applicable law may provide additional rights or exceptions.
Children
The service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect account information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided it so we can investigate and delete it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections and access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will publish the revised policy here and update its effective date. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to hello@flyers.now.
